About the group

His Master's Voice Band – a cappella vocal group established in Tábor (CZ) in 2006. The repertoire of the group is composed mainly by vocal arrangements of jazz, rock, and pop songs. It regularly appears in Tábor, in its near surroundings (Sezimovo Ústí, Milevsko, České Budějovice), and faraway destinations in the Czech Republic (Prachatice, Prague, Děčín). It has also been performing abroad in Constance (Germany), Reingers (Austria), and Škofja Loka (Slovenia).

The members of the group, musicians of many civil professions, have long-standing singing experience in other Tábor and Prague choirs (Domino Tábor, Tábor Church Choir, Pierre de Coubertin Gymnasium's Choir in Tábor, Artn, Bohemiachor, Prague Singers, Hlahol Prague).

The group counts with G*apeels (Prague) and Voxtet (Jihlava) as good friends at the a cappella scene of the Czech Republic; it has held several joint concerts with them. Besides its individual performances, the group involves in joint projects with other musical groups, for example Tábor Superstar Band (2007 – fragments of Jesus Christ Superstar rock opera), or Tarapaca Jazz (2008, 2009 – Jazzy Christmas to You, a Christmas concert series). It has also cooperated with Hussite Museum in Tábor in recording the music of the film Jan Hus, Life, Oeuvre, and Testimony (2008).

In 2009, His Master's Voice Band released a demo CD African Fever, and 2012 a long-playing recording Insight.
